Graphics and Photography Society (GaPS)
Role: Web designer, graphic designer
The Graphics and Photography Society, a University of North Dakota student organization, provides opportunities for professional growth, and to encourage communication among students, faculty, staff and community members. Some of the ways this is accomplished is by meeting regularly, sharing ideas, creating designs and/or photographs for clients, providing recognition, and by sponsoring campus and community events.
My role as web and graphic designer required surveying members of the organization for a desired look and update of the existing content. Consulting with the faculty advisor was necessary for identifying required elements, as well as creating an aesthetically pleasing site. This project used pre-existing content, along with the creation of new material which necessitated conferring with the facility manager for content, then editing the material provided.
